ANALYZING CONSUMER CHOICES IN ONLINE FOOD DELIVERY SERVICES IN CHENNAI
Abstract
Online services have completely changed how we live and engage with the world in this digital age. The ease of use and accessibility of online platforms has revolutionized a number of aspects of our lives, ranging from banking and education to shopping and entertainment. India's booming metropolis of Chennai has welcomed this digital revolution with open arms. In this piece, we explore the fascinating field of researching and evaluating consumer preferences for online food delivery services in Chennai, identifying the variables that affect choices and mold the digital environment of the city. The 180 responders' data was gathered by the researcher at a 1:10 ratio. The data were analysed using the Karl Pearson correlation coefficient, Mann Whitney u test, Chi-square test, one sample t test, and independent sample t test. When combined, Swiggy and Zomato make up a sizable 70% of all consumption, which is why the respondents prioritized them.
